New Year and new ms – getting ready for Jerowrimo13

Last year I completed Jerowrimo12 which was a writing challenge led by the New Jersey Romance Writers of America chapter to write a book in Februray.

I completed it.  And this year I’m doing the same thing.

I know.  I just finished Nanowrimo and I’m already going through rough review this week on what I did.

I find that the challenge in February kept me writing which is what I need to do.  Along with online courses from Mystical Press.

So, no matter the outcome I am determined to make that book happen and I’ve done a rough plot of how I’d like it to go.

Today, I’m revising Chapters 1-3 of the Nanowrimo book along with working on suggestions from the CTRWA mentor I was assigned for my New Adult paranormal.

Oh, did you hear that?

That’s my coffee pot going.  :-)

Singles Travel International NYE Cruise on the Liberty of the Seas

Probably sounds like I’m going to rave about this Royal Caribbean Cruise, right?

Well I will. Trust me.

But what’s more important is to tell you that it was such a great group of people in the 100 that came for the NYE cruise along with two great Directors Mary D. and Michael that it made all the little things about traveling more bearable.  And by little things I mean: the wait for the flight, the packing for all the events I went to, the wait at the Florida Hollywood Airport for the Crowne Plaza shuttle (1 hour and a half), the call from my bank asking if it was me using my cards despite letting them know ahead of time where exactly I was going, the rush to get on the bus the next day from the hotel to the cruise, tipping the porters at the cruise port and thanking myself for arranging to get the luggage tags ahead of time, the hour and a half wait to check out my room (my first cruise) and of course, getting over myself to introduce myself to people, ignoring the complainers on the excursions and allowing myself to have a good time.

With humour and grace Mary D. and Michael handled us all expertly and without too much judgement.  😉

The question is not what will you do on a cruise but what WON’T you have time for.  The free room service? The free pizza and coffee?  The fitness club (as we left Labladee “island” owned by Royal Caribbean I was tilting from side to side on the treadmill).  The rock wall?  The ice rink? The shows? The suppers?  The Flow rider?  Plus, time by the pool, excursions and then all the social things organized by STI.

I still found time to read Judith James’ “Libertine’s Kiss” by the pool.  Watch out for those fruity drinks though as they are killer in the sunshine and may have you drunkenly napping at 3pm and missing the Pirate Party you specifically brought a costumer for.  LOL.

Here’s a few pics to enjoy of the ship.

Monsters vs Witches: Lana and Gareth

Gareth turned in his seat as Lana came into the room.  He couldn’t get her scent out of his nose and she wore Kat Von D’s Sinner which was intoxicating with her body chemistry.  He could tell with his senses that she had just ran down the hallway as her breathing was erratic and her hair was a little out of place.  He let his gaze wander down her young body and he felt the wolf inside stir out of desire.  They’d had time to recover from their trial battle for school and now they had to listen to what the Head of the School was going to tell them.  Hopefully, they weren’t kicked out.  A werewolf kicked out could always return to his family’s pack and have a life.  A witch on the other hand would return in shame and disgrace as schooling was one step closer to their career whatever their focus was.  A witch kicked out of school was usually considered by families to only have a breeding focus and pump out children.  Gareth again let his gaze caress her body that had an hour before laid next to his, immobile not in fear but with the power of her working.  She was a true powerhouse and her potential was untapped.  However, her view of her own self-importance and subsequent ego left much to be desired.  If only she wouldn’t be such a snob he thought as she opened her mouth saying “I’m not sure why we are here!  I clearly won the battle” and she tossed her hair.
